Dr Carinna Parraman is deputy director and senior research fellow at the Centre for Fine Print Research, UWE, Bristol. Her research in the field of colour has led to an engagement of colour perception, digital printing and colour mixing using pigments. Her PhD involved a study into the creation and application of bespoke digital colour palettes for artists. She is currently working on the history, appearance and development of 2.5D printing.

She has been principle investigator on major research projects including 'CREATE' (2006-10) funded by FP6 European grant www.create.uwe.ac.uk; Co-investigator on a FP7 European grant 'Colour Printing 7.0: Next Generation Multi-channel Printing' (2012-15) http://www.colorlab.no/cp70; and Academic supervisor for Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with Renishaw Plc (2011-15); and Pulse Roll Label Products (2014-2016).
